Medical Registration Process in Botswana
All health professionals, whether in the public or private sector, must register with the Botswana Health Professions Council (BHPC).
Step-by-Step Guide: Apply In-Person
Obtain the Registration Form
Available at the Enquiries Desk at any BHPC office
Or download from the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOH) website
Complete the Form
Fill all required sections accurately.
Attach Required Documents
Submit the completed form along with all necessary supporting documents to the BHPC registration office.
Verification by Officer
The officer will verify that all required information and documents have been provided and meet the selection criteria.
Forwarding to Committee
If in order, your application file is forwarded to the BHPC Committee Board for assessment.
Written Test and Interview
Applicants will be invited for a written test and an interview with the board.
Successful Registration
Upon passing the exam and interview, applicants will be registered with BHPC and issued a registration practice certificate after paying the fee.
